Why should I use LogoSmartz?
LogoSmartz is a desktop logo creator that lets you create professional, one of a kind logos without any knowledge of graphic design whatsoever. You have access to a huge range of templates, symbols and customizing options that can make your logo stand out. All this at so affordable LogoSmartz price - it certainly is a steal! What's more, you don't have to bother with the expense and time of locating and engaging the services of a high priced professional graphic designer.

Can I use my logo in 4 color offset printing and the Web?
Of course you can! That's precisely the reason why we give you the option of publishing your logo in 7 different formats-TIFF, BMP, PDF, JPG, GIF, Vector EPS and PNG. Through the 'Publish Logo' option in the top menu, you can specify and select the format you want your logo to be published in. The high resolution Vector EPS format is ideal for printing purposes. It is a vector format, which means you can scale or reduce your logo as you like without fear of distortion. JPEG and GIF file formats are specially suited for web uses since they are low resolution formats and make for lighter file sizes. PDF and BMP formats give optimum results for publishing to print media and online purposes as well.

Can I Import Fonts?
Yes ,you can import fonts using “Import font” feature and import fonts from your system automatically. These fonts then get stored in the Logosmartz software, hence you can use them as and when needed.

Can I save my logo and edit it later?
Yes, after creating your logo, you can save it on your computer in the default LogoSmartz .lsp format. This logo can be opened later and can be edited as per your preference. You can also save your designed logo as a template which will be added to the template library of Logosmartz. Hence you can readily access your template from the User Templates folder in the template category list.

How many colors can I use?
You can use as many colors as you like while creating your logo, using our various color options such as color picker, predefined color styles, 9 distinct color palettes in RGB & CMYK and a basic 256 Color palette . We recommend that you should use a maximum of 4 colors- one color per element including symbol, company name, sign off line and an extra symbol if required. However, the 'Less is More' principle is a good one to follow when it comes to logos.

How long does the process of logo creation take?
The whole process is extremely fast! You can actually make your logo in just a few minutes. This is because the interface is extremely user-friendly. In spite of allowing users to apply a great number of effects and options to their logo elements, the software has been designed to function intuitively and a user can find his way around quite easily in the process of making a logo.

Can I sell the logo created with Logosmartz?
Yes, you can sell the logo created with Logosmartz.

Can I trademark my logo for business purposes?
Of course! Though you select a symbol that remains in the software's database, you are creating a unique identity because this symbol will be combined with your company name in its chosen font and other elements to create a logo, an entity that is completely yours. You can trademark this logo-it's yours for eternity. For registration (®), you will need to submit a trademark application to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. (Clients outside US should proceed according to their local laws).

How many logos can I create at a time?

What is a logo template?

You can also replace the default symbol with one of your own preference. These logo templates are of high quality and are very convenient in case you are strapped for time.

I am unable to add more than one logo symbol on stage. What should I do?
When you click any logo symbol, it gets added on stage and is selected by default. Now, when you click the second symbol it gets swapped with the first symbol. To add more symbols, you should first deselect the first symbol by adding a text object and selecting it using the Selection Tool or by copying and pasting the first symbol that you added. Next click any logo symbol from the Symbols panel by clicking on it.

In which different formats can I publish my logo?
After you create your logo, you can publish it in different formats depending on the purpose for which you plan to use it. You can opt to publish your logo as a PDF (Portable Document Format), BMP(Bitmap), Vector EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) file, JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) file, GIF (Graphic Interchange Format), PNG (Portable Network Graphics) or TIFF (Tagged Image file format). Use the Vector EPS and TIFF formats for print media and the JPEG and GIF for online purposes. PDF and BMP formats give optimum results for print media and online purposes as well.

What if other people select the same symbol as I have?
All ready-to-use LogoSmartz symbols are copyrighted property of LogoSmartz and can be accessed by you easily when you buy the software. However, you can define the color and size of the symbol, add your unique company name, and have your own font treatment. You can also apply various styles and effects that will make your logo distinctive.

How does a Vector EPS file differ from a JPEG or GIF?
A Vector EPS file is meant for use in print media and is a high resolution file while JPEGs and GIFs are intended for online use due to their low resolutions and small sizes.
Read more about these formats:

About Vector EPS

A Vector EPS file is a vector format which means that it can be reduced or enlarged to any size without loss of clarity and sharpness. It is independent of pixels for deciding resolution since it depends on mathematical co-ordinates for scaling. This is the standard file format for printing and you will need it for reproduction in any print media.

JPEG

A JPEG loses image information when created so it is often known as a 'Lossy' format. It is good for use on the Internet owing to its small file size and can be used in your website. It is meant for screen display only and not for professional printing. JPEGs should never be used for printing as they will appear blurred or with jagged outlines. They should preferably be used in their original size.

GIF

A common format for image files, it is especially suitable for images containing flat areas of color. File size of GIF images is often smaller than the JPEG version of the same file. GIFs unlike JPEGs do not store photographic images well since they are limited to only 256 colors. They are good for use on the Web.
